During the cleaning process, the dry ice sublimates directly from a solid into a gas, leaving behind only the material removed from the surface. This can significantly reduce secondary waste and the need for post-cleaning media recovery.
Where suitable, dry ice blasting can also reduce reliance on water, solvents and chemical cleaning agents, depending on the application and the contaminants being removed.
